A gift for a pilot: a handmade model of their own aircraft
Most pilot gifts are generic: a mug, a print, a desk model of an airliner they never flew. A Wingcraft model is a replica of the exact aircraft they fly or flew, with its registration, paint scheme and small details, carved and painted by hand in our family workshop.

Why it works as a gift
Pilots know their aircraft down to the antennas. A model that gets the tail number, livery and fittings right tells them you paid attention to what they love. Many of our orders come from spouses, children and colleagues for exactly that reason.
Common occasions are retirements, milestone birthdays, a first solo or checkride, buying or selling an aircraft, and a squadron or company farewell.
What we need from you
One or two clear photos of the aircraft and its type or model number. Side views are best, and close-ups of logos or nose art help. If you can't take new photos without spoiling the surprise, an old photo or the registration is usually enough for us to find references.
Tell us the size you'd like (12" from $230, 15" from $275, larger on request) and the date you need it by.
Plan around the 75–90 day build
Every model is built by hand in four stages, so most take 75 to 90 days plus shipping. For a retirement or holiday gift, message us three to four months ahead. If your date is closer, ask anyway and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it.
We send photos at every stage, so you can approve the details without the pilot finding out.
